“…… magical food, wonderful food, marvelous food, fabulous foooood!” (Oliver; the musical)
‘Hua Hin Chef’s Table – The Flavour Experience’, organised by top hotels and restaurants to spread awareness of Hua Hin’s extraordinary qualifications as a foodie destination, was officially launched at a press conference and cooking demonstration held at Sky Bar, Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin last month. Guests of honor in attendance included: Nopporn Wutthikul; Mayor of Hua Hin; Mr. Benjamin Schwarz, Resort Manager Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin; Bruce Dupuis, General Manager Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Rojjana Franzke, Resident Manager Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa; and Anil Steven D’souza; F&B Manager of Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa. As well as a bevy of media, both local and from Bangkok, representatives of the Women’s Club Hua Hin, Hua Hin-Cha-Am Tourism Association and the Tourism Authority of Thailand also supported the launching. Leading chefs featuring in Hua Hin Chef’s Table showcased dishes from their forthcoming chef’s table menu at the launch. All the dishes are based on local inspirations and ingredients blended with international concepts. The July event has already taken place at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin with a 4-course ‘Spanish Brunch’ by Chef Amporn Choeng-Ngam with crafted cocktails by a specialist mixologist. The 2018 Hua Hin Chef’s Table will see gourmet dining events at different restaurants until November with the following schedule: September 5: Tanya’s Homemade Eatery @ Seenspace – ‘On My Way To The Tables’ 7-courses menu by Chef Nutchakamol Songkhramsee; and Guest Chef Weerawat Triyasenawat from Samuay & Son’s.
