Cha-Am is located about 25 km north of Hua Hin.

The small fisherman town is not known by everybody. The tourist catalogs of Thailand do not mention this beautiful small city very often.

The border of Cha Am, going to the south, starts just outside the Hua Hin airport tunnel and stretches more than 10 km north of Cha Am city.

From The south to the north border there are numerous hotels and condominiums on the beach front. The Cha Am city beach covers 5 km along the city front.

Cha Am has all the charm of a holiday destination which makes your vacation so relaxing. From the mountain backdrop and coconut palms to the golden sandy beach lined with redwood evergreens. From the easily affordable restaurants to the friendly charming bars, Cha Am has a special relaxing feel and innocence that no other town in this magical Kingdom possesses.

Cha Am is situated in Phetchaburi province, 25 km north of Hua Hin with a population of about 25,000. It only takes 15 minutes before you find yourself in this little paradise. Cha Am has very accessible transport links with its own train station and regular air-conditioned busses en-route from Bangkok to the South.

Cha Am is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Thailand. About 70% of the tourists are Thai residents of which the majority come from Bangkok , especially over the weekend.

Cha Am is on the opposite side of Pattaya on the Thai Gulf and Cha Am isn’t crowded with tourists. Cha Am is more family orientated than a wild night life place. It’s a town for those who want to enjoy the sun and the sea in a calm, safe and peaceful surrounding. All prices here are well below Pattaya, Phuket and Krabi and very good hotel deals can be obtained.

There is an big fishery village in the north end of Cha-Am beach with numerous fish restaurants for seafood loving people and everybody just has to visit that place.

Along the beach road, you will find restaurants serving local, European and International foods. You can enjoy a delicious meal (food and drink, 2 persons) for about 400 baht . Alternatively, you can have your favorite food delivered to your door in about 30 minutes. For those of us who like to cook, the local market is an abundant source of quality produce .The prices are great too! 2 Lb (1 kg) of fillet of pork is just £130 baht, fresh vegetables cost very little and the wide variety of exotic fruits are a must!

Life in Cha Am is by no means dull. The beautiful 3 mile (5km) golden sandy beach invites you to a wide variety of fun water activities. Banana boats, jet skis, windsurfing, horse riding. Sand volleyball and on the mainland , cycling, motor biking and go carting.

There are numerous international golf courses close by.

Cha Am has a vibrant night-life too! Whether it’s restaurants, bars, nightclubs and discotheques you are looking for, you will find them all in Cha Am: An Elephant safari, the Lion Park, a Boat trip to the Coral islands with diving and Site seeing activities…………. to name just a few.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are night-market days in Cha Am. The Wednesday market is among the biggest and most well-known across the country. If you are staying at the big tourist destinations, you will pay tourist prices. In Cha Am, the prices are at the ‘local’ rate. The market offers a wide variety of everything you can expect to buy in Thailand; clothes, shoes, CD’s, DVD’s, watches, electronics, tools, food and much more.

The weather in Cha Am is very stable as across the entire Gulf coast. Very few storms, no wave surges and a rainy season to cool of the warm tropical day.
