The first impression of the Wora Wana Hotel & Convention is about the expansive spaces but this is much more than just a visual impression. The land area is around 70,400 square metres or 44 Rai, the suites are up to 76 square metres and the capacity of the Princess Chulabhorn International Conference Centre convention and function facilities easily accommodated a wedding last month with over 900 guests. Everything about the Wora Wana is big!
Wora Wana can be found off Hua Hin Soi 97; that’s a link road between Phetchakasim Road and the southern end of Khao Takiab. The Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Hua Hin fronts the main highway with HRH Princess Chulabhorn officially opening the facility in October 2013. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital is Wora Wana’s near neighbour which has ideal access for international standard academic and research based conferences as well as events with a less academic focus. Another connection with these veterinary services is the purpose built small animal accommodation for those who wish to either board their pets or enjoy a shared holiday. Pet-share accommodation is provided in 29 deluxe garden rooms (47.5 square metres) located separately from main building. These pet-friendly rooms are equipped with amenities and facilities for your comfort but also provide a pet washing ‘bath’ as well as a Pet swimming pool.
There are abundant walking paths within the grounds for pet exercise as well as a doggy swimming pool and training facilities. Your pooches have never have had it so good!Apart from the pet share accommodation, guests can choose from 142 rooms.
The luxury of a ‘Pet swimming pool’ and suites, each providing views including the cityscape, swimming pool, ocean vista and golf course. Wora Wana adjoins the Suanson (Sea Pines) golf course though visiting golf groups are yet to discover the easy access to this and many other Hua Hin golf courses.
This is a very contemporary hotel with wide open passages, full length widows providing magnificent views and without adjoining buildings interfering with any outlook. On one side of the main hotel building the statues of Ratchapakdi Park, Ko Singto (Lion Island) as well as the golf course are clearly visible whereas the Wat Kho Takiab hill is set beyond the three large lakes within the hotel grounds viewed from the northern side.
Apart from walking or jogging around the grounds and around these lakes, bicycles are available free of charge to guests however an indoor fitness centre provides a sheltered and more high tech exercise option. The convention centre offers functional spaces that can be reconfigured for meetings, seminars, corporate occasions or those more social in nature such as banquets and weddings accommodating up to 1,000 guests.
That’s much more than a converted ballroom found at many Hua Hin resorts. There’s also easy parking for 350 vehicles although regular shuttle services can provide a ten minute run to or from the Hua Hin town centre. After the ‘serious business’ is over the Wanawaree Restaurant offers an international range of culinary choices, the lobby Lounge will serve your favourite drinks and swimming pools await to cool down and relax.
The Wora Wana Hua Hin Hotel & Convention was opened in November 2017 and has already been discovered by banks and other corporate bodies for their big event. Last month a wedding was able to cater for 900 guests. The Wora Wana provides a very professional venue for large gatherings regardless whether the focus is business or a big social event. Hua Hin can now boast a convention focus for visitors to our region; and it’s BIG!
