The Vintage Car Club of Thailand together with Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the Cha-am Municipality, the Hua Hin Municipality and the Tourism Authority of Thailand will host “The 13th Hua Hin Vintage Car Parade 2015” under the theme concept of ‘Greeting The Gatsby – Revisiting the Extravagant Lifestyle’.
The Event will be held from November 20th until 22nd 2015. Kwanchai Paphatphong, President of Vintage Car Club of Thailand, said, ”This Vintage Car Parade is the 13th Anniversary of organising a Vintage Car Parade in Hua Hin for the people to relish precious rare vintage cars and classic cars to evoke their memories as well as to promote tourism in Cha-Am and Hua Hin.”
A caravan of over 50 vintage cars from three eras will travel from Bangkok to Hua Hin. That is; pre-WW 2, post-WW 2 and classic cars. The theme of the Event aims to re-live the Gatsby lifestyle of the ‘Roaring Twenties’ after World War I; a pleasurable life of extravaganza with ‘Flapper’ fashion featuring light fine fabric adorned by luxurious pearls and bird plumes, young couples twirling invigoratingly on the dance floor lit by dazzling lights to energizing jazz music plus the inevitable beautiful cars.
This year participating members of Vintage Car Club will make a donation to an education fund for the Thammik Witthaya School, Phetchaburi Province through The Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King. They will also visit Ratchapakdi Park to see the massive monuments of seven former Kings of Siam. Mr. Sitthirat Hothongkam, Hotel Manager of the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa is the as co-organiser of Vintage Car Parade.
He said “The Resort is very pleased to have been given the honour and trust of the Vintage Car Club of Thailand to play a part in this event which has been renowned for over 10 years. This is a highlight that the locals and regular tourists look forward to.” The Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa and Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas are fully confident that they have the potential and are ready both in terms of venues and a team of professionals, including cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The Sheraton Resort & Spa conference facility “The Chandelier”, will enable every vintage car to shine. The general public is welcome to take pleasure in the caravan of vintage cars all along the route Bangkok to Cha-Am and Hua Hin during the event.
