We were invited in one of the most beautiful set ups for wine dinner I’ve ever experienced; a relaxing bbq night by the beach. The Anantara team did really an amazing job that surprised us and the rest of the guests. At the Sai Thong Restaurant BBQ food stations were set up all alongside the garden. At each station you could find 3 different Stonefish wines that you can match either with the food from this station or another. We are fans of Stonefish wines and we can’t hide it.
Peter Papanikitas , the wine maker has created a unique selection of wines that you can only find in selected places in Hua Hin; Anantara is one of these. None of the guest could say which was better, different tastes , different opinions, all beautiful. Most popular wines of the night: Stonefish Sparkling Brut Cuvee is a premium sparkling wine with an embracing appeal. The fresh bouquet is enhanced by yeasty characters, which carry through to a rich creamy palate. The flavour is well balanced with a crisp, clean finish. Stonefish Sauvignon Blanc is an exciting Western Australian Sauvignon Blanc displaying an appealing mix of tropical fruit, with pear and citrus. A fresh and lively palate is an uncomplicated and a soft progression to a clean finish.
This is a first class Sauvignon Blanc, suited to all occasions. Stonefish Merlot displays juicy plum and earthy overtones. Lengthy fruit on the palate is accompanied by a fine grain tannin finish. The vintage period is long and slow, resulting in the grapes being picked in a ripe condition with good levels of natural acidity.
