

Vana Nava invited the Thailand’s Iron Chef Chumpol Jangprai and his team and we were there with all the Hua Hin foodies! The menu was delicious and the atmosphere stunning. Tree Top lounge now is one of my favorite places to eat and drink refreshing cocktails. Each dish on the menu has its own cocktail to match. The chef tried to create a menu inspired by the Hua Hin summer and he made it. Here are the menu items from our six course lunch: 1st course – Spicy Croquette with Tom Yum Gung Filling with a Melon Squash Cocktail. 2nd course – Spaghetti alle Vongole with Lychee Cucumber.
Spicy and fresh. 3rd course – Spicy and Sour Seafood curry flavored pizza with mango caipirnha. Crunchy pizza dough, a perfect choice for a fast eating break after watching the slides at the park. 4th course – Pan fried Seabass with tomato herb crust and saffron sauce and riceberry. My favorite dish of the day. Fish cooked to perfection with strong saffron taste and healthy riceberry from Thailand! A Spanish style tonic on the side was the perfect drink! 5th course – Sea prawn and Korat Wangyu beef steak with Passion mano mojito. The plate you have to share but you don’t want to. It is difficult to find good beef steak here but they have it, cooked medium rare and melting in your mouth. If you are on a clean food diet this is the dish you are looking for.
6th course – Durian Sufle ad banana coconut suflet with Raspberry ice tea. I don’t like Durian; I don’t like the smell but if they didn’t have a fresh durian piece on the side I couldn’t say this was durian soufflé. It is served warmed and is sweet and fluffy. I loved it and with banana coconut one of the greatest combinations. The chef impressed us with his talent and his communications skills. Love the place, love their food!
