There is a new small restaurant opened just opposite the artist village and the menu surprised us. The chef has made a really good effort to make a gourmet menu with a Thai touch. My Rest offers high quality food at outstanding prices. The simple design with clean lines makes you feel comfortable immediately. The open kitchen concept really works to make your choices even more appetising. For starters we had fresh spring rolls and sesame salmon with pomelo salad. Freshness to the maximum. We continued with spaghetti with fried sea bass and basil. The fish was cooked perfectly and the skin was crispy the way I like it.
Our second main course was marinated pork loin with honey and mustard served with carrots, beet roots, shallots, zucchini and potatoes. Is a bit tricky to cook pork and keep it moist but the chef new exactly how to do it. The pork loin was cooked beautiful. The beet root gave some sweetness to the sauce that worked perfectly with the vegetables. I loved this dish. We finished our dinner with crepes; pancake filled with grape compose, cream and vanilla ice cream. Sweet , sweet , sweet! Warm and cold always works! When you go there asked for Khun Wanswisa Suansri or just Mam, she will recommend the most delicious dishes from the menu.
