Last month at the Worapura Hotel, a beautiful five star hotel in Hua Hin, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) and the Young Entrepreneur Council of Chamber of Commerce (YEC) launched a project to develop a new application call POSKAR.
The App will be designed for people who love to travel and enjoy eating the delicious food of Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, Petchaburi and Prachuab Khirikhan. These four provinces have been grouped together under the name ‘Petchsamutkhiri’ Group Mr. Pornchai Homchuen, deputy director of the DEPA said that the aim is drive the tourism economy of the Petchsamutkhiri group with digital technology, with one year to design the application and website.
This will include public relations and marketing activities. The project aims to be a prototype for the benefit of the whole country. Mrs. Chathaporn Rastdusadee, the Governor of Phetchaburi province, is pleased to be behind this tourism development for the four provinces of the Petchsamutkhiri Group. The POSKAR app is an idea from teenagers from the YEC, who have seen the need to develop a combination of technology and creativity, as a marketing channel to expand and distribute income to entrepreneurs in the area. POSKAR well be a digital platform for local tourism businesses to promote the sale of products and services with a system to accumulated points to link privileges through the website and mobile application.
The relevant government agencies and operators in the four provinces will be also be benefited by the potential customer data to be used in marketing in the future.
