“Golf and More” is the theme of the 10th Asia Pacific Golf Summit 2016 in Hua Hin on the business of golf.
The Summit will be staged on October 29th and 30th; the main venue is the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The Summit will provide a platform for candid debate and discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the golf industry in the Asia Pacific. It will also create pathways to bring about positive change to help guide the industry to grow in a rapidly changing business, leisure and recreational environment. An important part of the event is the 2016 Asian Golf Awards, which is in its 17th year and generally considered the “Oscars” of the golf industry. Hua Hin Golf Courses Banyan and Black Mountain have featured highly in these awards in recent years and are again amongst the ”clubhouse favourites”.

To set the tone Dr Ken Chu will deliver the “Golf And More” address. Dr Chu is the chairman of the Mission Hills Group in China with the property in Shenzhen (mainland China) and Haikou (Hainan) recognised as the world’s largest golf resort. In 2015 the Mission Hills Group generated more than 1 million rounds of golf. Dr Chu, alongside John Solheim, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PING, has earned the distinction of being inducted into the prestigious Asia Pacific Golf Hall of Fame which will bestowed during the Summit.

    communications specialist. A double-Emmy Award Winning actor and a true game changer.
  • Andrew Wood, marketing guru and author of numerous best-sellers.
  • Gabriel Aluisy, the author of the bestselling book, Moving
    Targets: Creating Engaging Brands in an On-Demand World.
  • Gregg Patterson, General Manager of the California Beach Club and an award-winning club manager, speaker and master
    of ceremonies extraordinaire.

Recently added special VIP guest and stimulating speaker is David Leadbetter, one of the greatest golf coaches of all time.

“What Leadbetter has to say will have a profound and lasting effect and impact on the future of the business of golf in Asia, his expert opinions will serve as a beacon to direct and guide golf clubs in Asia on the correct pathway to grow and keep golf relevant going forward,” explained Mike Sebastian, chief executive officer of the Asia Pacific Golf Group. Leadbetter will deliver a special keynote address during the Welcome Reception on October 29th which will be held at the multi-award winning Black Mountain Golf Club. He will also stage a special golf clinic for junior golfers at Banyan Golf Club. British born Leadbetter, is globally renowned for his coaching techniques as it relates to the golf swing. Amongst some of the great champions that he has mentored are six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Ernie Els and Nick Price. He is currently the coach of LPGA world number one, Lydia Ko and concentrating on teaching tour professionals and instructing other coaches in his methods.

The ‘Simulators’

Golfzon is the world’s biggest and best name in golf simulators. The 2016 Asia Pacific Golf Summit will feature a special Golfzon simulator display.

Over 130,000 people enjoy playing golf daily on this system.
