Health officials on Monday (Aug 30) reported 74 new COVID-19 cases, 13 of which were found in Hua Hin.
Elsewhere in the province, 7 cases were found in Pranburi, 21 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 8 cases in Kuiburi, 3 cases in Thap Sakae, 15 cases in Bang Saphan, 5 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 12 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Health officials said they have discovered cases at the following clusters:
– Karon village (+4 cases)
Prachuap Khiri Khan:
– Prachuap prison (+5 cases)
– Fruit factory (+8 cases)
One more death was also reported, with health officials saying the deceased was a 61 year old Thai woman from Hua Hin who had an underlying health condition. The death brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the province to 53.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,288 cases.
Meanwhile, 100 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,288 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,628 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,507 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 61 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 286 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Monday reported a total of 251,876 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 174,363 people have received one dose, while 72,417 people have received two doses.
