Aug 10: Prachuap reports 80 new COVID-19 cases, 13 in Hua Hin

Health officials on Tuesday (Aug 10) reported 80 new COVID-19 cases in Prachuap Khiri Khan, 13 of which were found in Hua Hin.

Elsewhere in the province, 1 case was found in Pranburi, 28 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 0 in Kuiburi, 9 cases in Thap Sakae, 3 cases in Bang Saphan, 6 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 20 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.

One new death were reported meaning the cumulative total of COVID-19 deaths in the province is 24.

Health officials said the deceased was a 37-year-old woman who was a state enterprise employee in Kuiburi district and had high blood pressure and obesity.

The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 5,875.

Meanwhile, 38 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.

Of the 5,875 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,475 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 4,376 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.

Health officials say 92 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 276 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.

Meanwhile, health officials have announced that 160,312 people in Prachuap Khiri Khan have received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Of those, 113,791 have received one dose and 44,270 have received both doses. 2,251 people have received a third ‘booster’.
