Health officials on Tuesday (Aug 17) reported 66 new COVID-19 cases, 11 of which were found in Hua Hin.
Elsewhere in the province, 9 cases were found in Pranburi, 7 cases in Sam Roi Yot, No new cases in Kuiburi, 3 cases in Thap Sakae, 8 cases in Bang Saphan, 21 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 7 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
One new death was reported, bringing the total number of deaths in the province to which the death was the 31.
The deceased was a Thai man, 82-year-old living in Bang Saphan where he had no underlying disease but he had not been vaccinated.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 6,610 cases.
Meanwhile, 95 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 6,610 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,510 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 5,069 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 101 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 238 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
