Health officials on Saturday (Aug 28) reported 221 new COVID-19 cases, 123 of which were found in Hua Hin.
Elsewhere in the province, zero cases in Pranburi, 14 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 23 cases in Kui Buri, No- case in Thap Sakae, 12 cases in Bang Saphan, 27 cases in Bang Saphan Noi and 19 cases in Meuang Prachuap.
Health officials said they have discovered cases at the following clusters:
Hua Hin:
-Karon village (+2 cases)
– Rit rou chai military​ base​ ​(+106 cases)
Sam Roi Yot​:
-Cluster​ Tagerng fruit factory (​+14 cases)
Kuiburi:
– fruit​ factory​ (+25 cases)
Prachuap​ Khiri ​Khan​:
-Prachuap prison ​(+8 cases)
No more deaths were reported today.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 7,818 cases.
Meanwhile, 79 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 7,818 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,358 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,411 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 72 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 202 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Saturday reported a total of 244,086 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 167,206 people have received one dose, while 71,784 people have received two doses.
