As Hua Hin puts the final preparations in place for its reopening to vaccinated tourists on October 1, another district in Prachuap Khiri Khan has increased COVID-19 restrictions.
Officials in Thap Sakae have confirmed that COVD-19 restrictions have been intensified in one of its sub-districts.
As of Sept 12, people travelling in and out of the Ang Thong subdistrict now need to get prior permission, with only essential trips permitted.
People travelling to Ang Thong in Thapae Sakae from ‘dark red zones’ are required to inform officials of their arrival, take an ATK test and quarantine for 14 days, regardless of whether they have received a vaccine or not.
People travelling from provinces which are not considered a ‘dark red zone’ must also inform officials of their arrival, take and ATK test before self isolating at home. If the person has received 2 vaccine doses within the last four weeks, they can also self isolate at home for 14 days.
This measure applies to people in Ang Thong Sub-District or people who visit the Sub-District until September 30, 2021 or until otherwise resolved.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that a new cluster found at Hua Hin Safari is one of four COVID-19 clusters in the province which are being monitored.
- Hua Hin hotel cluster (22 cumulative cases)
- Hua Hin Safari (9 cumulative cases)
- Prachuap prison (529 cumulative cases)
- Pineapple factory, Kuiburi (337 cumulative cases)
