A flood alert has been issued for Prachuap Khiri Khan and seven other southern provinces.
The Royal Irrigation Department has said heavy rain is expected to fall in the province between next Tuesday and Thursday (Nov 23 to 25) which could cause flash flooding.
The adverse weather is due a cold front from China.
Officials have been urged to monitor rainfall closely and issue evacuation orders if the amount of rainfall exceeds 90mm in any location.
Officials have also been ordered to monitor the levels of reservoirs and dams, many of which are already at 80% capacity.
Bang Saphan and Bang Saphan Noi were districts in the province highlighted most at risk from flash flooding, officials said.
