A local woman who lives near Hua Hin has again appealed to the authorities to help keep elephants away from her property.
Fifty eight year old Mrs Supa Tangthong reported her property again being damaged by an elephant – the third time in as many months.
The latest incident occurred just before midnight on Wednesday evening at 10pm, when an elephant entered the property and damaged a wall in search of food.
Mrs Supa said the elephant tried to steal bananas, fish sauce, vegetable oil, and sugar from her home in Huai Sat Yai.
Kaeng Krachan National Park officials visited Mrs Supa, helped repair her home and gave her some financial compensation.
Officials said they will work to try and keep the elephants away from the local community and also advised Mrs Supa to ensure that food is stored securely so elephants are unable to access it.
