Oct 5: Prachuap reports 67 new COVID-19 cases, 6 cases in Hua Hin

Health officials on Tuesday (Oct 5) reported 67 new COVID-19 cases, 6 were found in Hua Hin.

Elsewhere in the province, 46 cases were found in Pranburi, 6 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 2 cases in Kuiburi, No- case found in Thap Sakae, 7 cases in Bang Saphan, No- case found in Bang Saphan Noi, and No-case in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.

One more death was reported today, a 71 year old Thai national from Nongplub, Hua Hin who health officials said had an underlying health condition and who died despite receiving two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.

Meanwhile, 53 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.

Of the 10,992 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,109 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 10,318 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.

Health officials say 43 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 233 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.

Health officials also reported a total of 482,523 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.

Of those, 268,649 people have received one dose, while 204,768 people have received two doses. 9,006 people have received a third booster shot.
