Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is set to host the 2025 “Father’s Home” Sufficiency Economy Expo at Bluport Hua Hin from 18 to 22 June. The event aims to honour the legacy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX), with a focus on his lifelong dedication to sustainable development and self-sufficiency.
The announcement follows a planning meeting held on 26 May at the provincial hall in Prachuap Khiri Khan. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Governor Preeda Sukjai and attended by heads of local government agencies and members of the organising committee.
The event is part of the province’s “Next Move Prachuap” policy and will feature a range of exhibitions, seminars, and activities under five main themes, all centred around the philosophy of the sufficiency economy.
One of the highlights will be the Father’s Home Exhibition Zone, which includes photo displays, live jazz performances of royal compositions, and presentations showcasing royal development projects and sustainable living models inspired by King Bhumibol’s initiatives.
A series of academic seminars will be held on the main stage, with contributions from natural farming centres. Topics include the “Khok Nong Na” model of new theory agriculture, organic and green farming practices, smart farming technologies, and water resource management specific to Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The expo will also feature agricultural contests and demonstrations, including competitions for pineapples, durians, and drip coffee. There will be showcases of local product sets and culinary tourism contests involving local chefs and ingredients.
Local goods will be available for purchase, including seasonal produce, GI-certified items such as coconut and durian, processed foods, OTOP products, plants, seedlings, and farming equipment.
Tourism promotion is also a key component of the event. Organisers will highlight cultural and community-based tourism options across the province, encouraging both domestic and international visitors to explore more of the region.
The “Father’s Home” Sufficiency Economy Expo will be divided into three main zones and will be open to the public daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
