Health officials on Wednesday (Sept 1) reported 34 new COVID-19 cases, 12 of which were found in Hua Hin.
Elsewhere in the province, 10 cases were found in Pranburi, no cases in Sam Roi Yot, No cases in Kuiburi, no cases in Thap Sakae, 6 cases in Bang Saphan, no cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 6 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
One more death was also reported – an 86 year old Thai man from Pran Buri who had an underlying health condition but died having received one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,366 cases.
Meanwhile, 57 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,366 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,579 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,731 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 57 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 285 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Wednesday reported a total of 267,926 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 183,682 people have received one dose, while 79,111 people have received two doses.
