Health officials on Friday (Sept 17) reported 140 new COVID-19 cases, 69 were found in Hua Hin, of those 63 were from Royal Thai Army Sergeant Major School.
Elsewhere in the province, 7 cases were found in Pranburi, 10 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 8 cases in Kuiburi, 1 case found in Thap Sakae, 13 cases in Bang Saphan, 1 case found in Bang Saphan Noi, and 30 cases were linked to the cluster in the prison.
Three more death were reported today, two Thai men, aged 62 and 63 years old, they both lived in Pran Buri, the other death was a Thai woman who lived in Mueng district. All of the deceased had underlying health conditions and had not been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, 58 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 9,427 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,141 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 8,781 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 46 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 192 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials also reported a total of 365,983 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 223,634 people have received one dose, while 136,358 people have received two doses.
