Health officials on Thursday (Sept 2) reported 183 new COVID-19 cases, 10 of which were found in Hua Hin.
In addition, officials announced a slight change in the way in which the provincial COVID-19 figures are reported, by including separate stats for infections found in prisons.
Elsewhere in the province, 21 cases were found in Pranburi, 3 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 19 cases in Kuiburi, No-cases in Thap Sakae, 14 cases in Bang Saphan, 19 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 4 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
94 cases (93 inmates and 1 officer) were linked to an outbreak in the provincial prison, which was the main reason behind the big jump in cases from the previous day.
No new deaths were reported.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,250 cases.
Meanwhile, 92 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,250 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,670 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,823 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 59 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 284 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Wednesday reported a total of 273,908 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 188,820 people have received one dose, while 79,904 people have received two doses.
