Sept 26: Prachuap reports 158 new COVID-19 cases as total cases surpass 10,000

Health officials in Prachuap Khiri Khan on Sunday (Sept 26) reported 158 new COVID-19 cases, 49 were found in Hua Hin.

Elsewhere in the province, 84 cases were found in Pranburi, 5 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 12 cases in Kuiburi, 2 cases in Thap Sakae, 2 cases in Bang Saphan, zero cases found in Bang Saphan Noi, and 4 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Health officials said cases were linked to the following clusters

Hua Hin

  • Yothin Army Camp (+29 cases)
  • Baan Itsara restaurant (+2 cases)
  • A cluster in Huay Sat Yai (+9 cases)


  • Ice factory (+4 cases)
  • Fishing boat cluster (+17 cases)
  • Chatkeaw market (+27 cases)

One new death was also reported today, who health officials said was a 34 year old male from Prachuap Khiri Khan who had an underlying health condition.

Meanwhile, 25 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.

Of the 10,078 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,064 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 9,510 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.

Health officials say 34 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 221 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.

Health officials also reported a total of 426,335 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.

Of those, 244,421 people have received one dose, while 175,174 people have received two doses.
