Sept 4: Prachuap reports 130 new COVID-19 cases, 44 in Hua Hin

Health officials on Saturday (Sept 4) reported 130 new COVID-19 cases, 44 of which were found in Hua Hin and of those, 34 were linked to the cluster at the Ritruechai Military training base.

Elsewhere in the province, 18 cases were found in Pranburi, 11 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 10 cases in Kuiburi, zeo-cases in Thap Sakae, 11 cases in Bang Saphan, 6 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 30 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.

One new death was reported – a 69 year old woman in Bang Saphan who had an underlying health condition, and had not yet been vaccinated.

The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,417 cases.

Meanwhile, 73 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.

Of the 8,287 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,576 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 7,045 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.

Health officials say 57 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 269 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.

Health officials on Saturday reported a total of 281,775 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.

Of those, 195,150 people have received one dose, while 81,213 people have received two doses.
