Health officials on Friday (Sept 3) reported 56 new COVID-19 cases, 26 of which were found in Hua Hin and of those, 15 were found at the Karon village cluster.
Elsewhere in the province, 4 cases were found in Pranburi, zero cases in Sam Roi Yot, zero cases in Kuiburi, 2 cases in Thap Sakae, 2 cases in Bang Saphan, 1 case in Bang Saphan Noi, and 21 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
One new death was reported – a 35 year old woman in Bang Saphan who had an underlying health condition.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,287 cases.
Meanwhile, 149 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,287 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,576 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,972 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 60 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 227 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Friday reported a total of 278,112 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 192,246 people have received one dose, while 80,488 people have received two doses.
