Health officials on Monday (Sept 6) reported 100 new COVID-19 cases, 42 of which were found in Hua Hin. An additional 6 cases were found linked to prisons.
Elsewhere in the province, 16 cases were found in Pranburi, 9 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 1 cases in Kuiburi, zero-cases in Thap Sakae, 11 cases in Bang Saphan, 2 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 19 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
No deaths were reported today.
Health officials reported cases from the following clusters:
- Hua Hin – Nong Kae Army School cluster (+33 cases)
- Prachuap Khiri Khan – Prachuap prison (+8 cases)
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,577 cases.
Meanwhile, 38 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,577 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,690 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 7,153 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 59 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 288 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Sunday reported a total of 283,985 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 197,239 people have received one dose, while 81,317 people have received two doses.
