Locals in Hua Hin donned hats, jackets, gloves, and any other warm clothing they could find on Wednesday morning.
A sudden snap of cooler weather saw temperatures in Hua Hin drop to 20°C overnight, leaving it feeling much cooler than normal for both locals and foreigners alike.
People in and around Hua Hin’s Chat Chai Market could be seen wearing jackets, long sleeved shirts and trousers as they queued to buy their breakfast, fresh produce and lottery tickets.
One lottery ticket seller told Hua Hin Today, “today is cold, my hands are cold and had to wear a jacket”.
The occasional cry of “nao mak” could be heard among people visiting the market.
While Thailand is now officially in its winter season, the sudden cooler spell of weather is said to be due a low pressure cell.
