Officials on Tuesday (Aug 31) reported 44 new COVID-19 cases, 9 of which were found in Hua Hin.
Elsewhere in the province, 1 case was found in Pranburi, 1 case in Sam Roi Yot, 7 cases in Kuiburi, zero cases in Thap Sakae, 4 cases in Bang Saphan, 9 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 13 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Two more deaths were also reported.
Both fatalities were Thai man, aged 73 and 74 who lived in Pranburi and Thap Sakae, respectively.
Health officials said both men had underlying health conditions and died despite having each received a single dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the province since April 1 to 8,332 cases.
Meanwhile, 67 people were also discharged from hospital or quarantine having made a full recovery.
Of the 8,332 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,603 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 6,674 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.
Health officials say 65 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 277 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.
Health officials on Tuesday reported a total of 259,595 vaccine doses have been administered in the province.
Of those, 177,884 people have received one dose, while 76,604 people have received two doses.
