Doing their part for animal aid, Banyan The Resort Hua Hin recently nominated Rescue Paws as benefactor of their latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) initiative.
Rescue Paws is a non-profit animal relief centre based in Khao Tao, lending great efforts in addressing the issue of an ever-growing number of strays in the Pranburi, Hua Hin and Cha-Am areas, and bettering the lives of the many abandoned, injured and abused animals roaming our streets. Banyan The Resort Hua Hin raised funds for Rescue Paws by hosting several ‘Meating & Fishing’ dinners, as well as 3 charity fairs during July to September. In September, a group of 15 Banyan staff members, lead by Public Relations Manager, Paranee Centiyanonth (Bee), visited Rescue Paws at their facilities in Khao Tao, and was able to take a few of the dogs for a walk to the beach, followed by a soapy shower. Having all learnt more about their daily operations, current challenges and future goals, as well as the social impact that an uncontrolled stray animal population has on local communities, the party joined in a ceremony to present Rescue Paws with a 10,000 THB cash donation and a generous selection of medical supplies & products, collars, leashes, dog food, medication and linen.
Hanli Engelbrecht, Operations Manager at Rescue Paws, noted that their continued success is possible only with the participation and support of local communities and establishments.
Extending sincere thanks for the generous donations, she applauded Banyan The Resort for their efforts and hopes that others may follow their shining example. Khun Paranee ended the ceremony with a pledge of Banyan’s on-going support to Rescue Paws in the future.
