On Monday 5th July the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin were proud to join volunteers from Jungle Aid to officially hand over their replacement vehicle to support ongoing Jungle Aid operations. Earlier this year discussions took place between past President, Brian Anderson, and members of Jungle Aid, who mentioned that their current vehicle was becoming untenable to support their operations being 15 years old, the RCRHH had provided support to purchase their previous vehicle 5 years ago.
Brian brought this to the attention of the Board of Directors of RCRHH who agreed to provide a donation of THB 230,000 to go towards the cost of a replacement vehicle that had already been sourced to meet the requirements of Jungle Aid Operations. In addition, Rotarian Alan Brown who is the clubs Inter Country Service committee member in Australia was in contact with Rotary Club of Noble Park, Dingley, Victoria, Australia, who generously offered to further support this project by donating an additional THB 40,000.
Jungle Aid agreed to place the RCRHH Logo and the name of the Rotary Club of Noble Park, Dingley, Victoria, Australia on the side of the vehicle. The handover took place at the BECC School and was well attended by volunteers from both clubs. Surf 102.5’s Richard Buckle and Royal Coast Review editor David Watson also joined the event. The President of Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, Phil Lawrence and its members wish Jungle continued success with supporting communities in the Hua Hin and surrounding areas.
