(Cha-Am, Thailand, March 2011) Raffles International College Bangkok, Thailand’s largest private education organization and leading fashion school in the Asia Pacific region, in collaboration with Alila Cha-Am – luxury resort member of the Alila Hotels & Resorts Group, would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the charity partners who supported a successful and spectacular charity gala, which was held on 25 February 2011, to raise money to provide a better future for students of Cha-Am’s Baan Bang Kate School The spectacular evening charity gala took place at premier design resort Alila Cha-Am.
About 200 guests received a warm welcome from students and teachers from Baan Bang Kate School, together with Ms. Karen Grace Lam Kar Yan, Director/Vice Dean of Raffles International College, and Mr. Thiva Karan, General Manager of Alila Cha-Am, before being escorted to Chill Pool where signature drinks and food were served. The night started with special guest – Mr. Chumporn Sang-Manee, Governor of Petchaburi Province, extending his gratitude as he visited the unique exhibition space, with works of Raffles graduate students of 2010, all beautifully lit to best showcase the students’ innovations.
Following this was a silent auction of six haute couture gowns exclusively presented and designed by Raffles students. At 8pm, all guests were escorted to the fountain courtyard where an intimate and unique fashion show was held.
It was stunningly set up with a beautiful background of fire balls and with a white carpet catwalk. Guests enjoyed the unique fashion show together with outstanding hospitality and services, but most importantly they all gave their support to students who will contribute to creating a beautiful future world. All revenue went to Baan Bang Kate School as soon as it was received, to support a financial plan and witnessed by local government committee. Special thanks to all guests attended the events, Minute Maid Pulpy Perrier Water and Naravee Clinic as charity partners, and who join us with the vision and commitment to education as an important factor that drives the world as a better place for all.
