However there is a plethora of award presented and keeping up with the winners is not always easy. At Hua Hin Today, we often receive press releases about award winners and we are eager to describe these high achievers and promote regional businesses. These awards were handed out at a dazzling ceremony at the Impact Muang Thong Thani, with 117 Thai enterprises conferred the kingdom’s top tourism awards in recognition of their contribution to upgrading the quality, professionalism and service standards of Thailand’s largest foreign exchange generating economic sector. Minister of Tourism and Sports H.E. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said, “Such awardwinning products and services will go a long way towards upholding the “Thainess” concept as a source of competitive advantage in an ever-changing operating environment. The number of visitors we get every year is not important. Providing high quality services that keeps them coming back is more important.”

Baan Talay Dao – Award for Excellent Performance in Resort Hotel Tourism Accommodation in Resort Hotel (less than 80 rooms Ranging from spas to homestays, community-based tourism associations to national parks and animal protection institutions, the winners of the Thailand Tourism Awards were specifically judged on the criteria of highlighting Thai culture, protecting the environment and contributing to society. The vast majority of them, especially the hotels and tour operators, were small- and medium-sized enterprises, owned and operated by Thais.
The full list of six award categories this year comprised: Hall of Fame (7 Awards) Tourism Support and Promotion Organisation (14 Awards) Tourist Attractions (13 Awards of Excellence and 31 Outstanding Awards) Tourist Accommodation (7 Awards of Excellence and 8 Outstanding Awards) 5. Health Tourism (9 Awards of Excellence, 10 Outstanding Awards) 6. Tour Program (6 Awards for Excellence and 12 Outstanding Awards).
Thailand Voted ‘World’s Best Spa Destination’ 2015
With our world-renowned Thai massages and huge range of wellness treatments, Thailand has been named the 2015 World’s Best Spa Destination by World Spa Awards. From the luxurious world-class retreats to a quick THB 400 Thai massage offered on most streets, it is not surprising Thailand received its well-deserved recognition at the first annual World Spa Awards. The gala dinner to celebrate the winners was held in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The red carpet ceremony at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam was hosted by Vietnam TV superstars Anh Quan and Minh Ha and offered the finest cultural entertainment and a gourmet dinner alongside the unveiling of the awards. World Spa Awards Managing Director Gina Reynolds said: “What a fantastic evening and congratulations to all our winners. Each and every one of you truly deserve the recognition you have received from our voters around the world.“ The World Spa Awards were developed in reaction to overwhelming demand from the spa industry for a program that was fair and transparent; a program with a mission to serve as the definitive benchmark of excellence, and to help foster a new era of growth in spa tourism.

In recognition of the resilience and the importance of the Thai Spa industry to the Kingdom’s Tourism and Healthcare industries, the Thai Spa Association with the support of the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry Commerce, Tourism Authority of Thailand and KPMG Phoomchai Audit Ltd., has announced the Thailand Spa & Wellbeing Awards 2015. The awards seek to actively and assertively promote Thai spa industry standards, creativity and innovation and coincided with the World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015, which is also being organized by the Thai Spa Association.
Let’s Relax Spa, the flagship spa brand of Siam Wellness Group, received 2 awards for Amazing Value for Money Spa and Amazing Innovative Marketing Campaign. The Hua Hin Let’s Relax Spa is located in Hua Hin Market Village. There are 15 treatment rooms with single, double and triple rooms covering over 700 square metres.
