Thai people in Prachuap Khiri Khan can now register to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at 7-Eleven.

The service, which was launched on September 1, is aimed at making it easier for people who do not own a smartphone nor have access to the internet to register for a vaccine.

Initially the service will be available at branches of 7-Eleven located in Mueang Prachuap district.

To register for a vaccine in 7-Eleven, applicants need to present their Thai ID card and contact details to staff who will manage the registration via the Mor Prachuap Prom system.

The project is a collaboration between Prachuap Khiri Khan Hospital and CP All Public Company Limited.

Speaking at the launch of the project, Dr. Pongpoj Theranantachai, Director of Prachuap Khiri Khan Hospital, said 7-Eleven branches have enough staff to be able to assist with the registration procedure.

Dr. Pongpo added that the service offers convenience to people in the province who want to book an appointment to register for the vaccine.

Currently, there are more than 130,000 people registered in the Mor Prachuap Prom, with more than 70,000 of them have been vaccinated, Dr. Pongpo added.
