Oct 17: Prachuap reports 158 new COVID-19 cases, 49 cases in Hua Hin

Health officials on Sunday (Oct 17) reported 158 new COVID-19 cases, 49 were found in Hua Hin.

Elsewhere in the province, 88 cases were found in Pranburi, 4 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 3 cases in Kuiburi, No- case found in Thap Sakae, 3 cases in Bang Saphan, 3 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 8 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.

One death was reported today, a Thai man age 89-years-old, who lived in Thap-Tai, Hua Hin who had a congenital disease and was not vaccinated.

Of the 12,334 cumulative total cases in the province, 1,536 are currently receiving treatment in hospital or are staying in quarantine, while a total of 11,318 have made a full recovery and have already been discharged.

Health officials say 34 patients are currently in a serious condition in hospital, while 194 others are in what is described as a moderate condition.

Meanwhile, health officials have announced that 298,032 people in Prachuap Khiri Khan have received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Of those, 298,032 have received one dose and 240,224 have received both doses. 9,426 people have received a third ‘booster’.
