Hua Hin Municipality launched a campaign for smokefree days after the forest disaster at Hin Lek Fai. b Mr. Amnat Jai Samut nimitthawil, Senior Permanent Secretary, Hua Hin District presided over the opening of the project, many other agencies were in attendance. The goal is to create knowledge and understanding and to create greater public participation in keeping our air clean.
To be more aware of forest fires and smog which is consistent and ever present, as a key contributor to poor air quality. Thailand is facing air pollution problems with a PM 2.5 dust which exceeds the standards, mainly caused by burning in open air.
Therefore, the cooperation of relevant agencies and people must be sought to help publicize and monitor the situation continuously and should anyone be found burning garbage or debris that causes a lot of smoke in nearby areas, notify the municipality immediately; in order to continue to solve the forest fire problem effectively and more importantly protect Thailand’s air quality.
