AUTOMOBILE SHOW BANGKOK Title: International Auto Show at Bitec Exhibition Center The yearly Automobile show in Bangkok took place from March 30 – April 8. On an area of more than 79,000 sqm. , 130 companies from 11 different countries participated at this year´s exhibition. Special events such as a classic car show, Off Road training a Miss Auto show contest brightened up the exhibition. Automotive companies joining the show had a chance to bring the newest technologies to show in this event for people to know, such as concept cars, super cars, hi-technology engines, concept motor bikes, motor sport equipment, cars stereos and others. Furthermore, organizers held several activities during the show such as sport cars show from Ferrari Club, Porsche, Classic Cars, Volkswagen, Austin Mini, Alfa Romeo, Harley Davidson, etc.
Ford had an impressive line-up this year. We hardly remember what Ford had on offer in prior years but the quality was definitely there at this auto show. These beautiful car show models gave us a good look at the lines on these fine machines, and there were also some trucks and passenger cars, although plush interiors on the vehicles wasn’t our first choice of photo ops. Back in the old days in the west Ford half-ton pickups were the only thing we would see. Now the mini trucks rule, although Ford trucks have a lot of competition from Nissan, Toyota, Isuzu and even Chevy trucks. Nowadays vehicle has become an essential part of human’s daily life, and also being like the second home to many people. From day to night many people use their vehicle as working place, dining room, changing room, bedroom, etc. However, the major role of the vehicle is to take us to the destination safety. And we need energy to drive the engine. Hence, the innovation of vehicle development should concern on not only new technology but also energy saving and environment.
