At Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort
The year 2018 is a time of change for food and drink venues at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. Restaurants and bars at the seaside hotel are seeing the introduction of new concepts as well as updated settings and surroundings.
Big changes require big talent, and in that light the resort’s director of food and beverage, Naowarat Prathet, has everything needed to put all venues on a course towards new dining horizons. Nicknamed ‘Nao’, the Thai native has been F&B director at the resort since March 2018. In the preceding months, she’s had chance to get used to the waters and thus ensure smooth sailing as changes are implemented. Nao’s background likewise will help her maintain a steady course in the months ahead.
She brings to the director’s job comprehensive work experience in all facets of food and beverage operation at major luxury properties in Bangkok, Koh Samui and right here in Hua Hin. Her work roles have encompassed diverse functions related to restaurant and event management, along with supervising day-to-day operations. Nao’s international experience includes an internship at a Thai restaurant in the USA and an assistant F&B director position for a Dubai five-star hotel.
Naowarat Prathet’s knowledge, skills and local expertise will be especially advantageous at Azure Restaurant & Bar. The beachside venue is undertaking a major reconceptualisation emphasising local community traditions, for instance new menus featuring seafood from surrounding fishing villages, locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as premium meats produced at nearby farms.
