

The 1st Muek Daddeaw (Dried Squid) and Fresh Seafood Festival is taking place between 11 -12 August 2012 from 3 p.m. to midnight at Paak Nam Pranburi. One of the most famous districts of Prachuap Khirikhan, Pranburi boasts stretching white sandy beaches and delicious fresh seafoods, especially dried squid, known locally in Thai as Muek Daddeaw.
To make it and other local products more famous for tourists and promote tourism of the area, the District Administration Office of Paak Nam Pranburi is organizing this event. Highlights of the 1st Muek Daddeaw and Fresh Seafood Festival include contests of squid catching and making of seafood papaya spicy salad as well as selling of local products.
To please music lovers, a concert of a Bossa Nova female singer Lula and a pop jazz band Soulda will be held.
