Mr. Atikom Intuputi, the assistant Courts of Justice has announced the commencement of a new legal system in Hua Hin designed to build confidence amongst tourists in cases of disputes, to ensure the matters are dealt in a prompt and fair manner. Disputes may involve goods, services or criminal offences. Travelers may be victims or defendants. These cases have characteristics different from more general matters. A key mission is to provide advice and assistance to tourists in the proceedings and be completed quickly. The announcement has been greeted with eager anticipation however the details available to date are sketchy and Hua Hin Today will seek to provide a complete picture of the process, jurisdiction and limits and the way in which access to the process can be facilitated.
