On the 2nd of August my husband and I were kindly invited to stay at the Amari Hua Hin as part of their 3rd year anniversary of opening celebrations. We have just returned from memorable mini European city tour which was great apart from the so called 4 star hotel rooms which were all minute, pretty shabby and phenomenally expensive.
In comparison, our deluxe room at the Amari Hua Hin was first class and such a bargain for the price. Our very large (38m2) high spec’d room had a large balcony overlooking the huge swimming pool and was spotlessly clean and seemed to be brand new (no European shabbiness here!!!). Particularly impressive was the large shower room which is easily big enough for two people to shower in at the same time to be eco-friendly; ‘save water, shower together’! As for getting a good night’s sleep, our room gets 10 out of 10.
It was very quiet you could hear a pin drop, the air-con was silent and it featured “black-out” curtains so no getting woken up by the morning sun. The only negative aspect was the king sized bed. This was far too comfortable. So much so that we slept through our alarm and almost missed our morning appointment.
After an excellent breakfast, we had an opportunity to have a chat with the very friendly Amari General Manager – Christoph Leonard who let us know of some exciting developments underway at the Amari. These include a new beach front pool, club house and restaurants which will be open to hotel and non-hotel guests in the next few months. This will make the Amari a great venue for Thai’s and expats that live in the Hua Hin area.
In summary, we highly recommend a stay at the Amari; not only for your friends and family who are planning to visit Hua Hin, but also for couples or families that live in the area who would like to experience a fabulous 4 star plus hotel with all the amenities at a great price. Finally we would like to thank all of the excellent staff at the Amari for making our short stay a memorable one.
