The deputy mayor of Hua Hin Ms. Phailin Kongphan has opened a program to protect vulnerable groups and families from illegal activities. This program is for the current national fiscal year. The Director Assistant of the Centre for Protection of Homeless People in Prachuab Khirikhan, Mr. Praphat Maneechot, the Director of Social Welfare Division of Hua Hin Municipality, Mrs. Rampha Chamlongrat and other officials took part in the opening. The program aims to provide participants with knowledge about social welfare and service as well as professional activities to promote more income for families with financial instability.
Participants’ families will be supported to become economically independent rather than needing to work as beggars and being deprived of dignity. Being financially independent also means they will not be lured to work illegally. The program promotes local handicrafts for participants and provides each participant with a grant of 3,000 THB to seed part-time work from home.
