I finally visited the BARAI SPA, the one that everyone is talking about. The BARAI SPA has been voted as the best spa in Thailand and now I know why. We were then escorted through an incredible maze that led us finally to our treatment room, admiring on the way the stunning and very calming architecture. My experience: We tried the 60 minute Massage Experience. This treatment is adapted from the traditional Thai massage combined with Swedish and aromatherapy techniques. The signature aroma oil incorporating lemongrass, ginger and mint is applied with long flowing palm strokes, acupressure along the meridian lines and integrated with join movement and subtle stretching. The therapist customised the treatment concentrating on the areas in need of relieving tired muscles, rebalancing my mind and body. The BARAI SPA offers an intuitive selection of treatments based on the Thai belief of maintaining the vitality and balance of the four elements: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. I chose “Fire” to increase energy and to help to strengthen the body, revitalise the mind and brighten the spirit.
The Result: Simply amazing; with absolute relaxation, clearing and calming my mind and removing my stress.
