Basic Education Commission Meeting at Hua Hin Witthayakhom School



Officials of the Basic Education Commission have visited Hua Hin Witthayakhom School and attended a meeting with the instructors and executives at the Hua Hin Grand Hotel and Plaza. The meeting’s main agenda included formulating an integral education plan under current governmental policy and presenting awards to teachers. It was organised in Hua Hin as the Hua Hin Witthayakhom School has enjoyed good educational standards and projects this year. According to the BEC officials, the Hua Hin Witthayakhom School is still facing some problems, particularly drug use and students with improper behaviour. Those problems often come from the students’ family, but the school helps to transform them to be good people. Provincial Court regarding vocational education for the students as the Ministry of Education is promoting ways to reduce classroom studying and increase outside classroom learning. The art teachers, for instance, will be asked to launch a music and drama activity while the food science teachers will be responsible for creating a cooking class. The Provincial Court will support them with learning and teaching materials upon request. This activity is good and useful for the students after they graduate.
