The cabinet has acknowledged the prime minister’s endorsement of a Royal Command designating December 5th as a Day of National Importance in remembrance of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
At Government House, Assistant Government Spokesman Col Athisit Chainuwat revealed that the Cabinet has acknowledged the Prime Minister’s designation of the 5th of December as the birthday anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the National Day and the National Father’s Day in accordance with the royal mandate. In memory of the beloved King, the Cabinet also resolved to continue to observe December 5th as a public holiday.
