Hua Hin will take part in the Diverse Tourism in Style project, a new tourism promotion plan for 2012 proposed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Tourism Business Association of Thailand and the Hua Hin Municipality.
Serving as a new marketing strategy on tourism promotion of Thailand, the project will start on 4 November 2011.
With an aim to create a new image of Central Thailand as a part of diverse and enchanting tradition and culture, this project covers such provinces as Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayudhaya, Suphan Buri, Lopburi, Petchaburi, Samut Songkram and Prachuab Khirikhan. To welcome tourists coming to Thailand next year, it features 6 main characteristics of Central Thailand: charming beaches, paradise in the west, everlasting tradition, untrodden historic sites, green adventure and delighting Bangkok.
According to the Director of the TAT, this project will call for participation of local and provincial organizations who would like to promote their tourist attraction for more visitors. Once the project is approved, information of all participating tourist attractions will be sent to embassies of Europe and Scandinavia.
As part of Prachuab Khirikhan, Hua Hin, a very famous beachfront town for Thais and foreigners, will play a key role under this project on revered tradition reflected through architectural heritages like Buddhist temples and festive events such as Songkran, Loy Krathong and annual sport activities. Since this project allows local communities to participate, all communities in Hua Hin have to think about how to attract visitors with their unique culture and tourist attractions as well.
Should this marketing plan be successful, it will be expanded to other provinces of Central Thailand to accommodate visitors who come here in different time, not only during the high season.
