The Hua Hin Cycling Club, led by President Jon Schultz and Nuchasara Lekkul, with the support of Hua Hin District, Tourism Authority of Thailand Prachuap Khiri Khan office, Hua Hin municipality, Stamford International University, Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Association, and local organizations, is pleased to announce the Hua Hin Championship Road Race 2025.
This event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in front of the Hua Hin District Office. This will mark the first cycling competition held in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The race will consist of two categories.
Purpose:
The main objectives of this event are to support Prachuap Khiri Khan’s health and wellness tourism initiative, stimulate the local economy in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and nearby areas such as hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and significant tourist attractions. It will also support Hua Hin as a destination for health-oriented tourism.
The event aims to promote cycling as an eco-friendly transportation option and raise awareness about important tourist attractions and local community experiences. After covering all expenses, the cycling club will donate net proceeds to the Hua Hin Red Cross.
Objectives and Goals of the Event:
The primary objective of this event is to stimulate the economy in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and nearby areas. This includes supporting local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, as well as key tourist attractions in Hua Hin and its surrounding regions. Furthermore, it aims to promote Hua Hin as a health and wellness tourism destination and contribute to reducing global warming by encouraging the use of bicycles. Additionally, this event will help to promote important local tourist attractions while allowing tourists to experience the local way of life.
The club is targeting approximately 500 to 1,000 cyclists, including both Thai and international participants, from within and outside the region, as well as neighboring countries. Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, offers more than 20 beautiful and challenging cycling routes. Cyclists will enjoy the natural, green scenery, pineapple fields, hills, landscapes, and the reservoir built by the initiative of King Rama IX, which serves as a stunning photography spot.
After deducting expenses, the net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Hua Hin Red Cross, which will use the funds to help those in need of assistance and support.
Race Routes:
**Distance of 95 km:** Divided into Open Categories for Men/Women and age groups, using electronic chips for timing, ensuring standards. Prizes include cash, medals, trophies, and cycling jerseys for winners in all categories. The prize breakdown is as follows:
Touring Ride (50 km): Open to all ages. Participants under 15 years must have permission from a guardian. No rankings will be held. All participants will receive medals, and there will be trophies for categories such as best costume, largest team, longest distance team, and favorite amongst photographers, etc.

Competition Schedule:
- – **February 8, 2025:** 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Package pickup at the Hua Hin District Office, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
- – **February 9, 2025:** 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Cyclists gather at Hua Hin District Office.
- 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM: Opening ceremony and announcement of competition rules.
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM: Start for Open category cyclists and age categories in order.
- 7:30 AM – 7:35 AM: Start for touring cyclists.
- 11:00 AM: Award ceremony for trophies, cash prizes, and champion jerseys, with cut-off time. 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: End of the competition.
