The Hua Hin International Triathlon 2011 is taking place on Sunday, 28 August at the Suan Son Pradipath beach.
Organized by the Hua Hin Municipality, with cooperation of the Klai Kangwon Royal Palace Bike Club and the Sport Bicycle Co. Ltd., this event has taken place for the third time already. Focusing on three types of health-boosting sport, namely running, swimming and biking, this time is a special occasion as it honors Queen Sirikij and celebrate her birthday anniversary on 12 August. The Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Suwit Rienrungreung said that the Hua Hin International Triathlon 2011 had already welcomed over 1,500 tri-athletes from Thailand and other 15 countries worldwide. Competition will be divided into 2 major types: biathlon and triathlon. Every athlete will receive a trophy, souvenir medal and T-shirt upon registration. Winners from each category will be awarded Her Majesty’s trophy.
