Hua Hin Organizes Music in the Park throughout 2010 The Hua Hin Municipal Office, in cooperation with the Boonrawd Trading Co. Ltd. and the Siam Kolakarn Yamaha Hua Hin Music Institute, is organizing The Music in the Park event throughout this year with an aim to allow Thais and foreigners alike to indulge in quality music at night in Hua Hin.
The Deputy Hua Hin Mayor Mr. Athikhun Butying said that the music event, held from March 2010 to March 2011, was initiated by the Hua Hin Mayor Mr. Jira Pongpaiboon and the Managing Director of the Boonrawd Trading Co. Ltd. Mr. Santi Bhirombhakdi. Entitled, “Music in the Queen’s Sirikij Memorial Park of Hua Hin,” the event will take place every Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. It boasts a lot of traditional Thai music, music for life, youth music and pop music performed by famous Thai artists each month.
According to the hosts of the event, the music performance is held to appeal to Thai and foreign visitors in Hua Hin and promote the park, the venue for this event which has a lot of beautiful flowers and superb landscape by the Hua Hin beaches. Tourists, tourist agents, businesspeople and tour groups are allowed to launch a small dinner party at the Park during the even for free because this is a part of celebration for 100th anniversary of Hua Hin.
Mr. Athikhun added that the owners of the Siam Kolakarn Yamaha Hua Hin Music Institute Mr. Kathawuth Panyapanit and Mr. Amnart Paankaew were responsible for catering various musical artists and performers for this event to satisfy the need of the audience. The Hua Hin Municipality would therefore be glad to invite all visitors to the Music in the Park 2010 and hope that the event will be a crowd-pleaser.
