The Division of Public Health and Environment of the Hua Hin Municipality is going to check, assess and certify quality of all food stalls and restaurants in municipal Hua Hin under the program, “Clean Food Good Taste”. The Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Atikhun Butying said that this activity aims to standardize quality on hygienic condition and food safety of all restaurants and food stalls in Hua Hin.
Those that pass the test will receive a certificate and a sign to ensure customers of their delicious and clean food.
Municipal authorities will conduct food assessment according to formal sanitary regulations declared by the Ministry of Public Health. The regulations mainly concern physical condition of a restaurant and food stall and 10 random bacterial checks from 3 food containers, 5 food samples and hands of 2 food sellers or cooks.
This project will be carried out from now on until September, 2011. All food sellers and restaurateurs will be asked to help the municipal authorities in charge. More information can be obtained from the Division of Public Health and Environment at tel. 032 511 047 ext. 107.
