Amari Hua Hin organised its Koh Jaan Ecotourism project in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, Wanakorn National Park and representatives from the Baimai Organisation, an independent environmental enterprise. The aim is to provide information on ecotourism, to raise awareness, to educate people about ecology and promote responsible tourism in Koh Jaan and Koh Tao Islands in the Gulf of Thailand, and also to protect their rich and beautiful coral reefs and natural treasures. The Koh Jaan Ecotour also allows guests to experience how the local fishermen live. If tourists lack the knowledge and understanding of the environment, the tourism industry could harm nature, especially the underwater ecosystem.
