The Department of Local Administration has told the public to notify their local authorities if they wished to drill new groundwater wells or use groundwater from the existing wells. According to Section 17 of the Groundwater Act in 1977, they should first apply for permits/licenses from their provincial Groundwater Department. Application of permits and licenses can be submitted at the Groundwater Department in Prachuab Kirikhan Province (Director of Natural Resources and Environment Office).
